Maira is a licensed Zumbini®, Zumba® Kids, Zumba® Kids Jr. and Zumba® instructor as well as a fervent promoter of the Brazilian culture in Vancouver. Since moving to the city, she has been performing in multiple festivals with her Brazilian Swag crew, including Carnaval Del Sol and Dance in Transit. 

Once she became a mother, Maira realized how critical music and movement are in the context of every day life and she has been dedicating and focusing her career in that area ever since. She teaches Brazilian Rhythms and Zumba® at DanZa Productions.
